This site has dragged on and on to the point I wondered if it would ever be launched. This site has been in the works for over a year now. To break it down the design was critiqued by a comity and anyone who has ever designed by comity knows the pain I've felt. Luckily the design portion was handled by another, otherwise I probably would have pulled all my hair out. The development of this site brought about difficult decisions. Where I typically PHP most of the site for connivence, I had to build with ICE in mind. ICE, where very useful, can often limit a developer in the techniques used. For those reading this and asking what in the world is ICE, you can find out more here: Adobe. The project was a good learning experience and now I know what I can and can't do when planning to implement ICE. Here is the link to ESBC: ESBCgreenville.org

An architect, of high quality work, needed a website developed. An outside contact handled the design work, then sent the PSD over so I could develop the site. The site is nothing flashy in the design, but quite simple and easy to navigate. After the site was constructed the only new tech I had to build for this design was a Java thumbnail loader. Constructing the Java was the easy part, but getting the CSS to work properly in all browsers was painful. I'm use to IE making my life miserable, but this time Microsoft had it out for me. After a hour of trying many code tricks I got it to work accordingly. The site can be viewed here: PDIArch.com

An independent film director came knocking at my best friend's door, davidhilmer.com, and asked for a low budget website. David being the excellent design artist he is, whipped up an excellent themed design for the client and then requested that I develop the site. thehillshavethighs.com. The site is quite basic, but I did get to adventure into ICE, InContext Editing, with this site. ICE is the newest client side editor that Dreamweaver CS4 brings to the table. To sum it up, it's a simplified version of Contribute, but all editing is done within the browser, no separate programs required. You can find out more here at: Adobe

This project turned out to be quite trying in many ways. Aside from the client being difficult to work with, I was forced to build in a fixed design. A fixed design is a site that is unable to grow in length due to the artist's ideas. Everything looks good in Photoshop, but that means very little when it comes to the web. Now understand I have no problem building it, I just get a twitch when I see fixed designs. Another sad reality to this project was that I couldn't use PHP due to their ASP.NET server. In the end the site got built and the client is happy, another happy ending. - businessonestop.biz

Rarely do I speak about my full-time job, but in this instance it's worth noting. For several months now the 10Best crew, myself included, have been hammering away at our new site. To say the site is an upgrade from the orginal is a grave understatement. The feel and functionality makes 10best.com work like we had always wanted it to. Also with the addition of Southern Living's content, we have created a power house for travelers. Here is the link: 10Best.com.

Morris Muzekari is a visionary when it comes to interior design. The website was designed by Muzekari and around designer. My role in this project was to develop, SEO, and PHP her website. This took a minimal amount of time, but was enjoyable since I used Thickbox to handle her portfolio. If you need an interior designer in Charleston, SC I would check out her site - morrismuzekari.com

Aardvark Interactive Studios requested that I build them a lengthy volunteer form for gcminc.org. I used a PHP script to handle gathering the information from the form and sending it off to the requested email address. One other snazzy feature that I added to the contact form is when a user submits the information an excel file is created with all the information organized into respected columns. The benefit of this feature is each time a user submits information, it is added to the existing excel document. This way the client can view all past and present information on submissions. The contact form has not been pushed live, but when it has I will post the link.

On this beautiful day I found myself surrounded by perfectly trimmed green grass, speedy golf carts, and a mob of people lacking fashion sense. Where am I? At a fancy golf club house helping out a fundraiser with my Photoshop talents of course. My sole job was to organize four ladies, arm them with cameras, and unleash them into the masses. Two hours later and some small talk they returned with six hundred images. I sorted through them and found five hundred to be useful, so I began cleaning up the ones I planned to use in the mosaic. Once finished I plugged them all into AndreaMosaic, which is a fantastic program for mosaics. I actually like this program so much I plan on writing a brief tutorial on how to use the software. Anyways, when AndreaMosaic had worked its magic I touched up a few areas and began printing about one hundred copies. All the guest that attended swiftly grabbed them up and I went back to printing more. Just a little background information, the lady in the picture is who the fundraiser was for. It was to help raise money to cover her medical bills.

St. Jude Farms is an internationally known horse breeder of the finest European bloodlines. With a design of their website already in play my objective was to reconstruct their site using an organized and easily updatable PHP and CSS structure. The original developer used the PSD to Dreamweaver slice and dice method, where the entire site is made up of images, even the text. If you have not read before, I truly despise developers that use this technique. There is no instance where all text should be made from images! Enough venting, back to the project. I had no choice, but to scrap everything the first developer built and start anew. Now completed, new horses can be added to their site with the click of a button. Thank you PHP. http://www.stjudefarms.com.

Be there for the release of Firefox 3 on June 17, 2008. The new features that have been implemented into the browser are built upon the collaborative suggestions and comments from the online community. If you are new to the concept of Firefox, allow me to elaborate. Firefox is developed by Mozilla, a company that describes themselves as, "We're a global community of thousands who sincerely believe in the power of technology to enrich people's lives." After more than 34 months of constant development, and with the contributions of thousands, Firefox 3 is ready. Break away from internet explorer and experience what a real web browser can do.
