First, I would like to welcome you to CBrooks Hosting and thank you for checking out my site. CBrooks Hosting is run by Christopher Brooks, a simple Philomath. This site is my virtual playground where I experiment with the latest in web technologies and design trends. Through my trials, errors, and accomplishments I hope to share my collective knowledge with all who wish to learn. I'll skip straight to the most relevant time period of my life... my entrance into Trident Technical College (located in Charleston, SC) in 2002. I graduated in 2004 with an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering. I pursued my Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering at the Citadel for over a year. It was at this period that I began to consider a change. Even though I was acing all of my classes, I felt empty and bored with the path I had chosen. Engineering appeared not to be the field that most appealed to my interests. Yes, it was time for a change.
Leaving all that I knew behind - work, family, security - I ventured to Greenville, SC and ITT Technical College. Here, I was introduced to new skills that immediately captured my interest and soon the coursework could not move at a fast enough pace to accommodate my desire to learn. I branched out, let my awakened passion take me where it would, and began to teach myself every waking moment. Somewhere along the way, I found my ultimate passion, Multimedia. I also decided to hone my skills by opening my own company, CBrooks Hosting, in 2006.
Due primarily to the level of skill I had acquired by teaching myself, I was hired by 10Best.com as their Interactive Media Specialist. I later graduated from ITT with an Associate Degree in Multimedia in early 2007 with a GPA of 3.98.
CBrooks Hosting is thriving with clients world wide and more business then I could've ever imagined. I professionally work with 10Best.com and Unaira.com, helping to improve their .coms in many ways from complex Flash modules, website design, website development, and print. With every day that God blesses me with, I will continue to build upon my Multimedia foundation to become the very best I can be.
